Naveed QamarTANDO MOHAMMED KHAN: Federal Minister for Water and Power, Syed Naveed Qamar has said that the government will provide relief to the people in the upcoming budget for the year 2011-12.

He was addressing the public while launching various development schemes here on Sunday at a cost of Rs 390 million.

"PPP government has adopted a policy of reconciliation with all political parties and is providing all basic infrastructure to the masses without any discrimination," he added.

He said the government was doing its best to contain the situation regarding the issue of loadshedding across the country.

"We are working on various projects including that of Thar coal and Bhasha Dam to mitigate the suffering of the people," the Minister said.

He said various other energy production projects were also under discussion with the governments of China and Iran.
