KARACHI: The Karachi police in their on-going drive against criminals, arrested 118 accused during the past three days.
A police statement on Monday said that those arrested included 31 absconders and three proclaimed offenders.
It said that there were 12 encounters of the police with the alleged criminals and seven gangs of alleged criminals were busted during the period. In exchange of fire, two policemen also lost their lives.
In all, 67 pistols, three rifles, one mouser, one repeater, one hand grenade, one dagger, mobile phones and cash of Rs. 115,000 recovered from the possession of the accused, the police statement further pointed out.
The police have registered cases against the accused and started investigation.
