Google has been recently quite active in introducing a number of exciting products at its I/O conference, now the Google Android users, of the same family will be able to share stuff like music, videos, e-books and apps.
Yes, you heard it right Google Family Library is coming this summer, July 2nd to be exact, says Google documentation, which means that all the paid apps purchased after the mentioned date will become eligible for sharing with other members through this new feature.
The documentation added, that using the Family Library, “up to six family members will be able to share purchased apps on Google Play.”
According to Tech Crunch, the developers are being encouraged to update their apps to support family sharing. All you need is to first launch the Developer Console, heading into the Pricing & Distribution section, then check the checkbox to enable Family Library.
According to Android Police, similar to Apple’s Family Sharing, Google’s Family Library will also support sharing books, music and videos. However, there will be some restrictions on sharing; for example, videos will only be able to be streamed on one device at a time, the report said.
The Family Library also includes, allowing a family group to share one payment method, and allow parents invite others and restrict purchases by requiring download approval.
