imageThe newly growing Pakistani cinema continues to bring movies of high standards for its all kinds of audiences. The year 2016 has seen the release of different films such as Asim Reza’s ‘Ho Mann Jahaan’, Nasir Khan’s ‘Bachaana’, Farooq Mengal’s ‘Hijrat’, Ashir Azeem’s ‘Maalik’, Anjum Shehzad’s ‘Mah-e-Mir’ and most recently, Jamshed Jan Mohammad’s ‘Sawal 700 Crore Kai’. Now Pakistani filmmakers are gearing up to take up a big risk for the Pakistani cinema.

The appreciation of our movies from the audience not only shows and proves that our film industry has talented filmmakers, but also shows that their content are not bound of anything. The upcoming movie named ‘Project Ghazi’, the filmmakers of which are claiming to be Pakistan’s first ever superhero film.

“It’s a story of an advanced soldier project and it covers over a period of 20 years,” director Nadir Shah told a local newspaper during a live Facebook session.

Almost 40 percent of the film is completed. Humayun Saeed, Sheheryar Munawar and Saira Shahroz are among leading roles. Also, Adnan Jaffar is playing the negative role whereas senior actor Talat Hussain is also playing an important role in the movie. Munawwar will be seen portraying the role of a major and Syra will be seen as a scientist, whereas Humayun Saeed will be seen as Shehryar’s mentor.

“The superhero kinds of movies are owned by Hollywood. They’re the ones who started this and we would like to land closest to, if not be exactly like them,” Shah said.

The makers of the movie aim to make Pakistani proud by making first superhero movie in Pakistan.
