Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Civil Service has said that this year’s Eid ul Adha holiday for public sector workers will begin on Thursday next week.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry clarified that the holiday for the year 1438 under the Hijri calendar would begin from Thursday, August 24 to Sunday, September 10.

The festival will be observed on September 1, subject to moon sighting.

On the other hand, Met Department of Pakistan suggests that there are fair chances of moon sighting on August 22 in the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan. However, Government of Pakistan will announce the Eid holidays accordingly.
