Cricket loving Pakistan suffers another major loss

Terrorism once again came between cricket after the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Thursday, announced to cancel its friendly matches with Pakistan, amid Kabul bombings.

More than 80 people were killed, after a bomb in Kabul on Wednesday.

The PCB rejected the ACB statements calling them ‘baseless allegations’ levelled by the Afghan cricket board.

“The PCB strongly rejects the baseless allegations levelled by the ACB in the wake of the tragic Kabul blast,” read a PCB statement.

“While our sympathies are with the victims and families affected by the tragedy, we reject the irresponsible statement made by the ACB and hereby announce the cancellation of the proposed series between the two countries.”

The decision by the Afghan board comes after, the two boards i.e. ACB and PCB had come to an agreement last week to revive broken ties by playing two friendly matches in each country.

Furthermore, the PCB also agreed to provide Afghanistan with venues for training and conditioning camps as per the agreement.
