SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said the PML-N government had won hearts of the masses by presenting people and business friendly budget.

He said this while talking to reporters after inaugurating tough tiles affixing project in Narowal.

The minister said people-friendly budget protected rights of the people belonging to all spheres of life besides covering their needs and demands as well.

He said the business-friendly budget would also keep the industrial wheel moving ahead towards the goal of the economic stability besides giving the boost to the industrial sector.

The minister said the PML-N government had completed record welfare and human development-oriented projects in the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.  He said the government was also successfully fulfilling its all public promises and commitments in the country.

Ahsan Iqbal said the federal government had allocated Rs 9.5 billion for the construction of four lane Sialkot-Lahore Motorway via Narang Mandi for connecting Narowal region with this motorway as well,adding that the work was briskly underway in Sialkot district's various rural parts for establishing the Sialkot-Lahore Motorway mega project.

He said the government had also allocated Rs 3 billion for the construction of main Sialkot-Pasrur-Narowal Road and its conversion into a dual carriageway.
