As Pakistan cricket team breaks sweat at the training camp in Birmingham ahead of Champions Trophy, senior batsman Azhar Ali believes that Pakistan ‘needs to be up to the task’ for the tournament.

In an interview to PCB, Azhar said,”All top teams are participating in the Champions Trophy, so every match is going to be tough and Pakistan needs to be up to the task for every match.”

Regarding Pakistan encounter with arch rivals India, which will also be Men in Green first match of the tournament, Azhar said that we should take it just as a ‘normal game.’

“Playing against India is always a pressure game, but we should take it as a normal game, and I am hopeful that Pakistan will perform good,” he said.

He informed that the team is working hard on all the departments, especially on the fielding and is developing plans to utilise the English conditions to the maximum.

Azhar said that he is working on the bowling as it helps you in One Day cricket.
