 ISLAMABAD: Minister for SAFRON Lt. General (Retd), Abdul Qadir Baloch on Wednesday said the purpose to bring reforms in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) was to resolve the problems of people besides development in the area.

FATA was rich in mineral resources which should be utilized for the benefit of people, he stated while talking to PTV.

FATA would also be brought into mainstreaming so that development funds could be utilized to improve the living standard of masses.

There was consensus of political parties and stakeholders for FATA reforms, he said, adding recommendations had been sent to committee regarding FATA to streamline the system.
