PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has revealed that he was offered Rs10 billion to hold silence on Panama case.

Khan said if Sharif’s government had so much money at its disposal to make such an offer to a single person, one could only imagine how much it could have offered to the authorities investigating the Panama Papers case.

The PTI Chief, who was addressing to a ceremony at the Under-23 Games at the Hayatabad Sports Complex, said ‘Go Nawaz go’ had become the national anthem.

“‘Go Nawaz go’ movement would kick start from Friday,” Geo News quoted Imran.

Imran congratulated Younis Khan on becoming the first Pakistani cricketer to make 10,000 runs in Test cricket.

Imran maintained that he worked harder and then became the best player in the world. “I would not have been able to build Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital had I not learnt in cricket what hard work is.”

Imran Khan advised young players to keep on working hard to reach the national and international level.  “Nobody can achieve good results without hard work,”

KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, Education Minister Mohammad Atif Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Azam Khan, Secretary Sports Tariq Khan and players from all the seven regions including Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, Swat, Hazara and host Peshawar were also present.

On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, denounced PTI Chairman for his claim that he was offered Rs10 billion to stay silent in the Panama Papers case.

Responding to Imran Khan’s allegations, Maryam Nawaz shared a screenshot of a channel and called the PTI chairman a “Jhoot! (liar).
