KARACHI: The distant dream of wrestling fans has finally come true as Pro Wrestling Entertainment (PWE) is bringing international renowned wrestlers across the world to Pakistan for a pro wrestling competition this year.
According to Geo News, PWE made the announcement that international wrestlers from 20 countries will take part in the event to be held in Pakistan from May to November, 2017, however, the date is yet to be decided.
Events will take place in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar, according to PWE officials, whereas some of the wrestlers will appear at the launching event in Karachi on Tuesday.
As per PWEs announcement, Pakistan born Badshah Pehalwan Khan, Tiny Iron, Yacine Osmani, Omen, and others will be attending the pre-launching ceremony at Karachi.
PWE will feature all your favorite wrestlers and guest stars from around the globe. Our goodwill ambassadors will also share their experiences and real image of Pakistan all across the world, PWE official said.
After startling return of international cricket to home soil and renowned footballers visiting Pakistan, the PWE announcement could further boost the sports culture in the country.
