imageLARKANA: A four-day anti-polio campaign is going to be launched in Larkana district on Monday to vaccinate more than 300,000 children, said District Health Officer (DHO) Larkana here on Sunday.

He said that arrangements have been finalised for the National Immunisation Campaign of Polio.

A total 3,06,850 children up to five years of age would be vaccinated Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) during the four-day campaign from Feb 27 to Mar 02, 2017, he added.

He said 758 mobile teams will visit remote and far-flung areas of the district, while roaming polio teams have been constituted in Larkana city to cover children.

The DHO Larkana said transit polio teams would also be available at Railway Station, bus stops and markets of the district.

He urged parents to cooperate with the visiting mobile polio teams to make the campaign a complete success.

He also appealed to religious scholars, elected representatives, NGOs and local community to help make this campaign successful.
