imageLARKANA: As many as 3,06,850 children were given anti-polio drops during the four-day anti-polio campaign in Larkana, said District Health Officer Larkana, Dr. Abdul Fateh Bughio, on Sunday.

Talking to newspersons here, he said that the polio vaccination campaign has successfully concluded.

He informed that 758 mobile teams were engaged to visit houses and administer polio drops to children.

He also said that the mobile teams also visited remote areas through out Larkana district and administered Oral Polio Vaccines (OPV) to the children.

Besides, he said that there were 49 fixed vaccination centres and 08 transit points in Larkana, Dokri, Ratodero and Bakrani of Larkana district.

He said that polio eradication drive was in a decisive phase in the entire Talukas of Larkana district and therefore a coordinated strategy by the authorities, donor agencies and health professionals is required.
