Action against 33 vehicles on non-payment of token tax

FAISALABAD: The Excise & Taxation Department (ETD) took action against 33 vehicles on default of token tax here on Wednesday.

The checking team headed by ETO Afzal Goraya checked vehicles plying on different roads and impounded six vehicles moving without registration number and eight others on non-payment of token tax at different police stations.

The team also challaned 18 vehicles default of token tax and imposed fine of Rs 275,000 on drivers.

The crackdown against token tax default vehicles and others moving on roads without registration number plates will continue without discrimination, said department sources here Wednesday.
