ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervez Rashid on Saturday said that the PML-N government was committed to maintaining peace and stability in Balochistan and rest of the country.
He said that all nation was united to protect the life and assets of Baloch people and to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
Replying to a question, Pervez Rashid said that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif nominated Abdul Malik Baloch as Balochistan Chief Minister despite having majority there. He said Pakistan Muslim League (N) government was fully committed to eradicating the terrorism from Balochistan.
Talking to a private television channel, he said that PML-N government believed in democratic norms and "strongly condemns violence in Balochistan."
Replying to another question, he said that the government was determined to solve issue of missing persons in Balochistan.
The government, he said believed in solution of all issues according to the will and wishes of Baloch people and their political parties.
The Information Minister said that the Federal Government would cooperate with provincial government for maintaining peace and writ in Balochistan. He said the prime minister had also phoned the chief minister of Balochistan and assured his full cooperation in this regard.
Pervez Rashid strongly condemned terrorist blasts in Quetta and expressed shock at the loss of innocent lives.
To a query he said that Akbar Bugti murder case was in court and those involved in it would be brought to justice.
