-kanye-west-publishKARACHI: The internet went crazy this week with rumors that Kanye West was going to name his upcoming album “I Am God.” The American rapper confirmed today that, popular as though he may be, he had no delusions of being a deity.

Apparently, the rumor spread like wildfire after a BBC post on Saturday discussed what name Kanye West and TV star girlfriend Kim Kardashian (“Kourtney & Kim Take Miami”) would name their unborn child.

However, Kanye clarified earlier today that while there is a track titled “I Am A God”, the whole album would not be titled that. In fact, the song is quite the opposite of sacrilegious, because it reportedly conveys the message that we are all creations of a higher power, and refers to Psalm 82. West's lyricist Malik Yusef confirmed this report in a Twitter post.

Notably, the “College Dropout” star has touched religious issues before, like in his 2005 single “Jesus Walks” and also his alleged depiction of the prophet's crucifixion on the cover of “Rolling Stone” in 2006.

Coming back to the baby’s name, BBC reports the couple is seriously considering “North” West. Wacky, but not bad!
