Sit-in continue at Nawan Shehr chowk, Shershah bypass

MULTAN: Hundreds of citizens from Shia community continued their protest Tuesday morning in order to express solidarity with families of victims who lost their lives in Saturday's Quetta terrorism.

Sit-in protest under Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen was held at Nawanshehr chowk and Shershah bypass under in the leadership of Shia Ulema Council.

The traffic between Multan and Muzaffargarh was suspended at Shershah bypass due to Dharna. The people expressed resolve to continue their protest till the acceptance of Hazara community demands.

Allama Iqtadar Naqvi said the government should accept demands of the bereaved families at the earlist, otherwise they would continue the protest. A large number of women and children were also present in the camps.

District administration has beefed up security arrangements.
