imagePESHAWAR: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that the provincial government has taken workable reforms initiatives in all the sectors within short span of time in order to ensure efficient services delivery to the common man adding that besides providing full assistance and related facilities to the donors and investors in the province, the judicious utilization of fund was also being ensured.

He was talking to British High Commissioner Mr. Thomas Drew and Deputy Head and Head of Basic Services Group Judith Herbertson here at CM House Peshawar on Tuesday. Provincial Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education Mohammad Atif Khan, Administrative secretaries of Information & Health, Elementary & Secondary Education, Home and other concerned authorities were also present on the occasion. The matters of mutual interest and relationship between both the governments were discussed in details.

British High Commissioner Mr. Thomas Drew appreciated the reform initiatives taken by the provincial government to put the provincial departments on right track and to eliminate corruption. He also showed his interest in providing assistance to the government for devising long term strategy in this regard.

Chief Minister welcomed and thanked Mr. Thomas for his keen interest in plan of government to devise long term strategy to bring about real change and ensure sustainable development. The Chief Minister underlined the need for mutual coordination in order to maintain relations between both the governments.

While highlighting the two years efforts of present provincial government, the CM said more than hundred legislations and amendments have been done to put the provincial institutions on right track in accordance with international standard. He said that the institutions were given full autonomy and political interference has also been stopped to ensure efficient services delivery.

Institutes and bureaucrats are working in accordance with the need of people, he maintained.

Pervez Khattak went on to say that the first time in the history of Pakistan they have devolved powers from top to down in real sense and 30 percent of developmental budget has been provided to the local government.

He also stated the assistance of international organizations for training purpose in policing and education sector would be welcomed by the government. Moreover, he said that government was striving to promote industrialization in the province. Investors are being provided one window operation and attractive incentives under the industrial policy of the province.
