imageLAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken serious notice of incidents of hooliganism and firing near Novelty Bridge in Faisalabad and sought a report from regional police officer.

He ordered an inquiry into the incidents and added that those involved in firing should immediately be arrested and action be taken under the law.

The Chief Minister observed the situation arose in Faisalabad is a result of provocative statements and appeals of ransacking by some political leaders. He said, he was deeply grieved over the loss of a precious human life and ordered the police to arrest the persons responsible without any delay. He has appealed to PML-N workers to remain peaceful and show patience.

The Chief Minister said that peaceful protest is the constitutional and legal right, however, no one can be allowed to create chaos in the garb of protest.
