ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has strongly condemned an attack on DIN TV office in Lahore.
The minister, in a statement here Tuesday, said the democratic government believed in freedom of expression and accorded top priority to the safety and security of journalists, media workers and media houses.
The federal government, he said, was taking every possible step to provide security to the media and had also asked the provincial governments to increase their efforts for ensuring an environment where the media persons could perform their duties without any fear.
He prayed for the early recovery of the two injured policemen and an employee of the DIN TV.
