PESHAWAR: The funeral prayer of the slain constable, Javed Khan killed in Wazir Bagh bomb blast, was held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Friday.
Among others, IGP Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Nasir Durrani, SSP Operation Najeebullah and other senior officials of Police Department besides his relatives attended in large number.
A smartly contingent of KP Police presented solute to the Coffin of the Shaheed. Later, his body was shifted to his native village in Charsadda.
Javed was killed and his two others colleagues injured in a powerful blast targeting police mobile van in Wazir Bagh in interior City on Friday morning.
The IGP paid rich tributes to the Shaheed, saying his sacrifice will not go waste. He said such cowardice acts of terrorism could not deter Police determination.
