KARACHI: A guard and two robbers were killed during a robbery attempt in a bank situated at Khalid Bin Waleed Road here on Monday.
Two robbers were also killed during an encounter with police.
According to sources, three armed robbers tried to loot a private bank at Khalid Bin Waleed Road but the guard resisted their attempt. Over retaliation, the dacoits opened fire on the guard that killed him on the spot.
However, police chased the culprits and during exchange of fire, two robbers were killed near Soldier Bazaar. The third culprit fled from the scene in injured condition. Police cordoned off the area and started search operation for arresting the fleeing robber.
