KARACHI: The Karachi police in their drive against criminals in various parts of the metropolis, arrested 79 accused during the past two days.
A police statement on Wednesday said that those arrested included eight absconders and proclaimed offenders as well as those allegedly involved in cases of murder, dacoity, extortion etc.
It said that 28 weapons of different calibres were recovered from the accused.
The statement further pointed out that action was initiated against 64 persons for violating the ban on pillion riding.
