ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi Monday reiterated that the government of Pakistan and the whole nation would go to every extent to defend the legal and human rights of the Kashmiri people in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who are currently bracing the harsh, inhuman and draconian imposition of curfew which entered into consecutive 22nd day.

Addressing a ceremony here, the minister said the innocent Kashmiris had been virtually cut off from the rest of the world due to agonizing and relentless imposition of curfew and complete communication blackout in the disputed valley.

He said thousands of Kashmiris including children had been imprisoned without any charge sheet by the Indian occupation forces.

Qureshi said the political leaders had been arrested and an Indian soldier was virtually posted at every residence whereas funeral processions were targeted.

The fascist policies of the Indian government reflected Nazi movement and Hitler, he said, regretting that the ruthless occupation and siege of IoJ&K continued without any respite, despite vast international condemnation.

He said the Indian moves to change the demography of the disputed valley also violated the UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir. The minister said India had tried to further consolidate its illegal position by doing away the special status of IoK.

The global community recognized Kashmir issue as an international dispute which was also an acknowledgment of Pakistan’s principled stance.

The joint session of the parliament had also adopted a resolution, unanimously condemning illegal and unilateral moves of the Indian government, he added.
