Elon Musk calls Jeff Bezos ‘copycat’ over Amazon’s plans to launch internet satellites
Seems like Amazon’s plans to launch internet satellites in space did not sit well with Elon Musk, who has already launched global internet satellites, calling the plan as a copy of his own’s.
Few days ago Amazon announced it plans to launch over 3,000 satellites in space to provide high-speed broadband internet to ‘unserved and underserved communities around the world’. After the news made headlines, SpaceX founder Elon Musk called Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos a ‘copycat’ for this project.

In a simple three-word burn tweet, Musk just mentioned Bezos and called him a copycat over his firm’s plans to launch the fleet of internet satellites into orbit.
What Musk referred to was when his firm SpaceX kicked off similar plans in February last year when it launched a raft of Starlink internet satellites on board its Falcon 9 rocket, reported CNET.

On the other hand, Amazon’s plans are still in its early stages and the tech giant has not yet given a fixed timeline as to when it will launch the satellites.
