During the ‘Quetta Gladiators’ and ‘Peshawar Zalmi’ match, Ahmad Shahzad and Wahab Riaz were involved in a physical fight that was interrupted by the team-mates and umpires. Wahab Riaz urged youth not get any inspiration from the incident.
On social media website Twitter, Wahab Riaz said,
Meanwhile talking to local media, Ahmad Shahzad said that such incidents do happen on the cricket field but this is not the first incident of its kind and other instances of such incidents are also available. He added that he has moved on from the incident and wished Wahab Riaz best of luck for the upcoming Asia Cup and World T20 as he hoped that the pacer will come up with match winning spells for Pakistan.
Both have been fined heavily and given a warning by the Cricket Board for a heated on-field altercation during a PSL match in the UAE. Ahmad Shahzad was fined 30 per cent of his match fee while Wahab Riaz was penalized with 40 percent of his match earnings.
