PESHAWAR: At least seven people sustained injuries in a powerful blast in the premises of Akhun Punjo Baba's shrine at Akbarpura area in Nowshera district on Friday, police said. District police said lungar (food) were distributed among people inside a mosque located in the premises of shrine, when a huge explosion occurred. The identity of victims could not be immediately ascertained. It was not immediately ascertained that where it was a suicide attack or bomb explosion. The injured are being shifted to Lady Reading and Pabbi Hospital. Police and Rescue-1122 rushed on the spot and started relief operations.
