PPO inks agreement with BK, Khushhali to provide motorcycles to delivery staff

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Post Office (PPO) signed a agreement with Bank of Khyber (BK) and Khushhali Bank to provide motorcycles to the delivery staff on easy installments.

Official of the PPO said that for prompt delivery of mail articles, PPO has given 1700 motorcycles to the delivery staff and supervisory staff.

He said, for improving the transmission and delivery of mail in remote areas, new District Mail Offices had been opened at Narowal, Chiniot and Bhakkar.

He said, an updated version of the Post Code Directory has been compiled, printed and circulated to all operational offices.

Bag Accounts Rules had been updated to monitor the circulation of mail bags, he added.

He said, two postal mail vans had been renovated and refurbished for the convenience of postal staff traveling with Khyber Mail Train for transmission of mail while renovation of remaining four postal mail vans is progress.

He said, Express Mail Track and Trace System had been extended to all 83 General Post Office and 53 District Mail Offices of the country.

He said, the facility of track and trace is being extended to domestic registered articles also.

He said, Complaint Management System has been established for online complaints. In order to monitor the Value Payable articles, he said, Monitoring Cells had been established in all Postal Circle and Regions.

He said, for the convenience of the public and to cater the varied needs of the customers, the maximum limit of a single Fax Money Order has been enhanced from Rs.10,000 to Rs.50,000.

The official said, similarly, the limit of ordinary and urgent money order has also been enhanced from Rs.10,000 to Rs.20,000 and Rs.10,000 to Rs.100,000 respectively.
