Pakistan opening batsman, Fakhar Zaman is turning heads for his aggressive batting. The opener was crucial in Pakistan victory against arch rivals India on Sunday.
The Green shirts were overwhelmed as praise and admiration pour from every corner of Pakistan.
Pakistan navy too was quick to congratulate the Pakistan Cricket Team, in particular fellow soldier Fakhar Zaman.
“Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah congratulated Pakistan Cricket Team on the historic victory in Champion’s Trophy 2017,” reads a statement released by ISPR.
“Naval Chief also congratulated Pakistani cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman, Man of the Match of the final, on outstanding performance. Pakistan Navy is proud of Fakhar Zaman who remained part of Pakistan Navy and PN cricket team for 07 years.”
The hard hitting batsman went on to score his maiden hundred at the finals, hitting 114 runs of 106 deliveries, smashing 12 fours and 3 sixes in the process.
