ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the main opposition party, submitted two adjournment motions on Friday in the National Assembly Secretariat regarding Thursday's drone attack and the prevailing crisis in Pakistan Railways.

The motions were submitted by PML-N members of National Assembly (MNAs) including Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Raja Muhammad Asad Khan, Shireen Arshad Khan, Nighat Parveen Mir, Begum Nisar Tanvir, Rana Mehmoodul Hassan and Abdul Majeed Khan Khel.

They took stance in the first motion that the drone attack on a tribal Jirga in Datta Khel, North Waziristan Agency was tantamount to "an open aggression" and that the PML-N strongly condemned it.

In the second motion, the movers expressed concern over the reported closure of some trains due to the shortage of fuel. Thousands of passengers daily travel through trains and the trains' closure would affect them, they added.

They said both the issues were of national importance which should be debated thoroughly in the upcoming sitting of the National Assembly.
