Pakistan fast-bowler Mohammad Amir believes England conditions are lucky for him as he wants to supersede his past with a better future when he will resume his Test career at Lord’s.
According to local media reports, Amir said, "It was a tough schedule and a learning experience for me. I am hopeful that it will benefit me and the team. "The most important part of the programme was the running and the strength workouts. If we continue the regimes, the chances of sustaining injuries will be eradicated," he said.
Amir further added: "When there is a minor doubt in your mind about getting injured, you will not be able to perform."
However, statistics reveal Amir was the second highest wicket-taker in the 2010 series, taking a total of 19 wickets and in the process became the youngest player to take 50 wickets in the longest format of the game.
Amir made his return to international cricket on January 15 this year, in a Twenty20 match against New Zealand. In February 2016, Amir took a hat-trick in a Pakistan Super League match for Karachi Kings.
Pakistan's squad is currently in Hampshire holding a camp to acclimatize to English conditions, ahead of the four Test series. However, Pakistan will face off the hosts in four Tests, five One-Day Internationals, and a T20I.
