imageLAHORE: Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal hoped the nation will see a breakthrough in the dialogue between government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during the next couple of days.

He was talking to media after attending International Symposium on "Youth Led Community Development" arranged by Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) at a local hotel on Thursday.

The minister said the government feels "happy" as PTI has once again agreed for dialogue, adding that the both sides would try to resolve the issues on table.

"No state can make progress without political stability. Everybody must work together for the country's prosperity", he said.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government needs cooperation from all the political leaders as it cannot resolve major crises alone.

"We should show unity for resolving all the long standing issues of the country instead of making decisions on roads. We have to fight against poverty, loadshedding, un-employment and other issues".

To a question about delay in announcement of judicial commission, Ahsan said that government is ready for meaningful dialogue with PTI from day one,and it has already requested the judiciary to constitute a judicial commission to probe rigging.

He asked the PTI Chairman Imran Khan to send his representatives in Election Reforms Committee meeting so that the process can be completed soon.

Ahsan Iqbal expressed sorrow over Faisalabad incident, saying the government would try its best to maintain peace in Lahore on December 15,but added that PTI should also show the same spirit during protests.
