LAHORE: Heavy rainfall occurring over upper catchments of rivers Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej and Bias may develop high flood situation in nullahs of River Chenab and River Ravi.
According to latest meteorological conditions observed by Flood Forecasting Division Lahore,river flows may also increase in rivers Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej and Bias.
On the other hand,it also informed that river Sutlej & Bias, River Sutlej at G.S.Wala are likely to attain Low Flood Level ranging between 45,000 Cusecs to 55,000 Cusecs from 1200 PST on Thursday,as per latest information through Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Waters.
The department has also directed relevant authorities to take all precautionary measures to avoid any danger.
Rivers Positions;
River Indus at Guddu, Sukkur & Kotri is in High Flood Level while River Indus at Chashma and Taunsa is in Medium Flood Level.
River Sutlej at G.S.Wala is likely to attain Low Flood level. Medium to High Flood level is expected in Nullahs of River Ravi (Deg & Bien) & River Chenab (Aik & Palku)
