UNITED NATIONS: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has strongly condemned the suicide bombing in Peshawar that killed prominent politician Bashir Ahmed Bilour and ten other persons including his aides.
"The Secretary-General reiterates the strong support of the United Nations for the efforts of the Government and people of Pakistan to combat the scourge of terrorism," said a statement issued by his spokesperson. "He conveys his sincere condolences on this tragic loss," the statement added.
Bilour, who served as a senior minister in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was killed during the bombing at a political rally in historic Qissa Khwani Bazaar of Peshawar.
