Shahid Kapoor gets stitches on face after getting injured during filming ‘Jersey’

Actor Shahid Kapoor has suffered an injury on the lower lip on the sets of ‘Jersey’ in Chandigarh. He thanked fans and well-wishers for sending a whole lot of good vibes in a tweet.

Shahid was playing cricket while shooting a sequence for his upcoming film when he got hurt real bad. He says the film has taken ‘a little bit of my blood’ but he is recovering fast.

The actor has hurt his lip really badly while shooting for the film, when a ball came and hit his face unexpectedly. He was rushed to the hospital as he started bleeding profusely. However, later the actor was snapped as he returned with his wife Mira Kapoor by his side. He covered his lip with a mask.

Jersey is a Hindi remake of Telugu film of the same name, which released last year. Gowtham Tinnanuri, who directed the original movie, is helming the Hindi version as well.

Shahid plays the role of a former cricketer, who wants to make a comeback in the sports scenario by joining the Indian cricket team. It is scheduled to hit screens in August this year.
