NEW YORK: The euro edged higher versus the dollar to hit a session peak on Friday after a jobs report added to fears the US economy was losing momentum.
The euro rose as high as $1.3172 and last traded at $1.3169, up 0.2 percent on the day.
The common currency had earlier come under pressure following the release of weak euro zone services sector data and ahead of weekend elections in France and Greece.
