Customs Collectorate Appraisement Peshawar has foiled a bid to smuggle 150 ton flour to Afghanistan via Pak-Afghan sharing border. The action was taken after a tip-off, received by the Customs Collector Appraisement Peshawar, Ihsan Ali Shah that huge cache of flour is being smuggling via Torkham border to Afghanistan, according to a press release issued here on Thursday.
After getting information, the Customs Appraisement staffs has made further vigilant on various checking points. The customs team confiscated four heavy trailers loaded flour during checking, which had concealed under maize sacs. According to initial investigation, the four trailers are carrying approximately 150 ton flour to Afghanistan. The Appraisement staff confiscated all trailers and started further investigation.
