PARIS: Mauro Icardi's first-half goal gave Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 win over Club Brugge on Wednesday that saw the French side secure their place in the Champions League knockout phase with two group games to spare.

Icardi scored in the 22nd minute, but PSG were also grateful to goalkeeper Keylor Navas for saving a late Mbaye Diagne penalty as they held on for a fourth win in four games in Group A.
