Game of Thrones new episode's pictures show aftermath of ‘Battle of Winterfell’

‘Game of Thrones’ season 8, episode 4 will hit the TV screens tomorrow and the first look pictures have been released by HBO ahead of the next big episode. With anticipation still sky high following episode three, the makers have now teased the fans about what’s coming next.

From what we've seen in the teaser so far, next week's episode shows Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and their crew about to face off with Cersei Lannister in King's Landing. New photos shared by HBO, we get an even closer look at what's to come, including the survivors at Winterfell burning their dead following ‘The Long Night’ and Queen Cersei looking ready for her challengers.

These new images are about as spoiler-free as they come, many of the images show Jon, Daenerys and the rest of the survivors from the Battle of Winterfell burning their dead after the showdown with the Night King.

There is one image in particular that could be more than meets the eye. Daenerys, Missandei and Varys stand in what looks to be Winterfell's library, in front of their battle plans.

Talking about the upcoming episode, Jon Snow played by Kit Harington told Entertainment Weekly, "One of my favorite episodes is 4 because the characters have seemingly got what they needed,” Harington says of the roughly 20 main characters still gathered at Winterfell. “The world is safe now. They’re celebrating and saying goodbye to lost friends. But as an audience you’re going, ‘This is only episode 4, something’s going to happen.’ And that’s the cool thing because I think the characters are aware of this as well. There’s something twisted and uncomfortable about it. It’s so Shakespearian.”
