London: European stock markets rose solidly at the start of trading of Monday following strong gains in Asia.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index climbed 0.6 percent to 7,319.74 points compared with the close on Friday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index gained 0.8 percent to 11,617.18 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.8 percent to 5,394.50.
