Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to take the Parliament into confidence on conditionalities of International Monitory Fund (IMF), implementation on National Action Plan (NAP) and rising prices of medicines, gas and petroleum products. The parliamentary party of PML-N met with former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair here at the Parliament House on Monday. The meeting also prayed for the health of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The parliamentary meeting has decided to give a tough time to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in the National Assembly over its economic policies and oppose the coming budget-2019-20 strongly in the Parliament.
The meeting demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan to take the Parliament into confidence over the IMF team visit. It was also decided to protest outside the Parliament on a daily basis during the month of Ramazan. The PML-N parliamentary meeting also put forth five demands before the PTI-let government. Spokesperson PML-N Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the Prime Minster should brief the joint parliamentary session about the NAP and details of liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract and inflation in the country.
She said that Prime Minister Khan should also brief the Parliament about the performance and reshuffling of cabinet members. The meeting demanded that Nawaz Sharif be released forthwith and his treatment should be carried out without any delay," she added. She strongly condemned for doing politics on the health of Nawaz Sharif.
She claimed that the Prime Minister does not have any economic vision, adding that he should inform the House about the budget details and increasing inflation in the country. The PML-N spokesperson said that the meeting expressed solidarity with Khawaja Saad Rafique, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Kamran Michael, Hafiz Noman, Fawad Ahmed Fawad and Ahad Cheema while claiming that they were victimised politically.
