Watch: Deepika cries as hubby Ranveer dedicates his ‘Best Actor’ award to her

Ranveer Singh was awarded ‘Best Actor’ award for his performance in ‘Padmaavat’ at the Star Screen Awards held on Sunday night. In his emotional speech, the actor dedicated his award to his newly-wed wife Deepika Padukone, which left her in tears.

The actor got super emotional on holding the trophy and even left Deepika in tears with his acceptance speech. Holding the Best Actor trophy with much pride, Ranveer said, “I did not get the queen in the film, but in real life, I have got my queen,” he said pointing towards Deepika. Ranveer added, “Baby, I love you, Whatever I have achieved in the last six years is because you kept me centered and grounded”.

Ranveer's winning speech has not just left Deepika in tears, but also there their fans who cannot help but gush over the way he has spoken about his lady love.

Ranveer also shared the emotional moment on his Instagram story. “Proud Wifey,” he wrote.

Apart from Deepika, he also thanked in the speech his parents, sister and his late grandmother, who passed away earlier this year.
