TV actor Hina Khan confirms her Bollywood debut

Popular Indian TV actor Hina Khan, who is currently seen as Komolika on ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2’, is all set to make her Bollywood debut. The actress has bagged a woman-centric movie, which will be directed by Hussain Khan, written by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh.

Hina participated in two reality TV shows ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and ‘Bigg Boss 11’. She came out as the first runner-up on both the shows. The actress made her debut in the television industry in 2009 with the show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. She became a household name with her role as Akshara for several years.

The actress made headlines when she signed on to play Komolika, which is a negative role totally opposite from what she has played so far on TV.

Recently, she confirmed her Bollywood debut to the Times of India and even revealed what the film is about. “It’s a female-centric story. I also love the fact that it’s set in a time and place, where we are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, technology, daily rush and competition. I am also thrilled about challenging myself in a brand new medium,” she said.

Hina will reportedly soon begin shooting for the film, in which she will play a responsible and independent girl. She has also learnt how to ride a bike for this project and has already been practicing on the streets at night.
