LONDON: Europe's main stock markets slid at the start of trading on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index losing 0.5 percent to 7,526.05 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index fell 0.4 percent to 12,516.55 points and the CAC 40 in Paris dipped 0.1 percent to 5,494.02, compared with the closing levels on Wednesday.
