Sonakshi Sinha to recreate Helen’s hit number in ‘Total Dhamaal’

Bollywood is fond of recreating popular tracks of previous era. Sonakshi Sinha will soon be seen shaking a leg with Ajay Devgn on Helen’s popular dance number ‘Mungda’.

Sonakshi will feature in the revamped version of ‘Mungda’ from Raj N Sippy’s 1971 release ‘Inkaar’. She will be making a special appearance in ‘Total Dhamaal’ that features Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffery, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Pitobash Tripthy and Sanjay Mishra.

Sharing details of the shoot, director Indra Kumar reveals that the film will wrap up with the song. “We had saved this song for the end of the shoot. The old song was a big hit so it’s a huge responsibility on Sonakshi’s shoulders and mine too. We have picked up an iconic song now we have to deliver,” he asserted, adding that the actress has already begun rehearsals and Ajay enters midway through, so the song is a duet towards the end, Indian media reported.

The actress is happy to reunite with Ajay with whom she was paired in ‘Son of Sardaar’ in 2012.
