turkesh-lira ISTANBUL: Turkey's lira hit its weakest level against the dollar since Oct. 24 on Monday on deteriorating risk sentiment due to euro zone debt concerns and an apparent failure by US politicians to agree on deficit reduction.

The lira weakened to 1.8330 in early trade. In early October it hit its weakest ever level of 1.9095 as European debt worries pushed investors towards safer assets.
