KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Thursday having 49481.70 points with a negative change of 345.81 and volume of 110,808,320 shares.

High and Low were 49909.33 and 49445.69 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 398,976,470 shares with 389 total traded companies out of which 172 were up 194 were down and 23 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 64,572,600 shares. It was followed by CHEMICAL with a total traded volume of 45,970,800 shares.

The three top traded companies were Engro Polymer with a volume of 36,646,000 and price per share of 29.00 (0.81), Aisha Steel Mill   with a volume 27,945,500 of price per share of 26.08 (0.88), Azgard Nine with a volume 26,973,000 of price per share of 14.29 (0.18).

The top three advancers were Sanofi-AventisXD with price per share 2358.79 (112.32), Pak TobaccoXD with price per share of 1591.00 (74.57) and Sapphire Tex. share of 1522.23 (72.48).

The top three decliners were Nestle PakistanXD with price per share of 9014.01 (385.99), Wyeth Pak LtdXD with price per share of 2355.66 (114.54) and Rafhan MaizeXD. share of 7200.00 (100.00).
