Shashi, the friendly ghost from Phillauri entered Shahrukh Khan’s residence Mannat and scared him turning out to be Shahrukh’s yet another fan.
The whole scene was created for the promotion of Anshai Lal's directorial debut Phillauri, in which Anushka, playing as Shashi (the ghost) in the movie, entered Mannat and introduced Shahrukh Khan to her ghost.
In the promotional video, Shahrukh Khan was interacting with his fans showing them the tricks of orchestrating a horror scene meanwhile a haunting female voice called him. Khan feeling scared asked Shashi to appear but since Shashi is an invisible ghost, she failed to present herself before him.
When Khan asked him about the purpose of her visit, she turned out to be his fan and just wanted to see him. Anushka plays a friendly ghost in Phillauri who has an unfinished business in her past life but is stuck inside a tree and then in holy matrimony with Suraj who 'marries the tree' because he is a maanglik.
Phillauri also stars Diljit Dosanjh and is produced by Anushka and her brother Karnesh Sharma's Clean Slate Films. The film will release on 24 March.
