imageISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan has said the government believes in practical steps for development instead of sheer rhetoric and politicking on non-issues.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said PML-N leadership focussed real issues but some other political parties have been clamoring on issues of least interest to masses.

He said during campaign of Azad Kashmir general elections Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership detracted from actual issues facing the Kashmiri people.

"Both Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto failed to discuss masses problems. There focus was the federal government and Kashmiris were least interested to their speeches."

The Senator said PML-N government and its leadership is leading the country to progress and international investor is taking keen interest to invest in Pakistan due to prudent policies of the present government.

The PML-N government has curtailed load-shedding and is developing infrastructure for better transportation under the CPEC and other projects. "We are also focusing areas like gas supply, inflation and employment while our reserves are the highest ever."

Replying to a question, he said although there was need to bring reforms in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to make it more independent and vibrant organ of the state.

He said the Sindh government should thank Rangers for restoring peace and improve law and order situation in Karachi but it is beyond perception that why they always show reluctance in extension of Rangers stay.

Replying to another query, he said many ministers of Sindh government are involved in corruption and some of them are on bail before arrest.

Even the Supreme Court has noted that political parties have militant wings in Karachi, he said.

To another question, he said last sit-in of PTI was internationally sponsored and badly affected national economy and delayed the signing of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

He said continuity of the democratic process is the only solution of all problems as he rejected Move On party for its conspiracy against democratic system.

He lauded the constitutional role of Army leadership against war on terror and said General Raheel Sharif's professionalism and his role to root out terrorism will be remembered for long.
