imageMosquitoes have earned the reputation for being the deadliest threats to human beings, all thanks to being carriers of malaria and most recently Zika virus.

Well what to do then, just switch on your TV and get rid of them. Yes, you heard it right an Indian arm of South Korea's LG Electronics has begun selling a TV with a feature that it says repels mosquitoes.

Sounds ingenious right, remain mosquito free and entertained all at the same time. As per Tech Post, the LG model 32LH520D, features what the company calls ‘Mosquito Away Technology’. The technology uses ultrasonic sound waves that drive away the disease carrying pesky mosquitos.

And the good news is that the feature been certified as effective by an independent laboratory, says the company.

The ‘Mosquito Away Technology’ keeps on functioning, when the television is switched off. Reuters reported, the TV is available in two models, priced at INR 26,500 and INR 47,500, respectively.

Naturally, the TV is targeted at the lower-income customers, which are living in conditions especially vulnerable to mosquitoes.
